Terms and Conditions for SafeChild

Effective Date: 19 July 2026

Welcome to SafeChild.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SafeChild mobile application ("App"), operated by the SafeChild development team ("SafeChild", "we", "our", or "us").

By downloading, installing, or using SafeChild, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

SafeChild is a parental control application that helps parents and legal guardians manage children's device usage by providing features such as:

  • AI Face Recognition for protected apps

  • App Lock

  • Screen Time Management

  • Reward Point System

  • Family Sharing

  • Usage Monitoring

  • Subscription Plans

SafeChild is intended to promote healthy digital habits while allowing parents to manage device access responsibly.

2. Eligibility

SafeChild is intended for use by adults who are parents or legal guardians.

By using SafeChild, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.

  • You have legal authority to manage the device.

  • You have permission to install SafeChild on the device.

  • You are responsible for all activities performed through your account.

3. User Accounts

Some features require an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information.

  • Maintain the security of your account.

  • Keep your login credentials confidential.

  • Protect your Family Invitation Codes.

You are responsible for all activity performed using your account.

4. Phone Authentication

SafeChild uses Google Firebase Phone Authentication.

By registering, you confirm that:

  • The phone number belongs to you.

  • You are authorized to use it.

  • You will keep your contact information accurate.

5. Subscriptions and Premium Features

SafeChild provides both free and premium features.

Premium plans may include:

  • Monthly Subscription

  • Yearly Subscription

  • Pro Plan

  • Family Plan

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Google Play account.

Google Play manages all billing and subscription payments.

6. Family Plans

Family Plans allow parents to connect multiple devices using Invitation Codes.

You agree to:

  • Share invitation codes only with authorized family members.

  • Keep invitation codes confidential.

  • Accept responsibility for devices linked to your account.

7. Reward Point System

SafeChild includes a virtual reward point system.

Reward points:

  • Have no cash value.

  • Cannot be exchanged for money.

  • Cannot be transferred outside the App.

  • Exist only within SafeChild.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the reward system at any time.

8. AI Face Recognition

SafeChild uses AI-powered facial recognition to verify authorized users before protected applications can be opened.

All biometric processing occurs entirely on the device.

SafeChild does NOT:

  • Upload facial images

  • Store biometric templates on cloud servers

  • Share biometric information

  • Sell biometric information

Parents are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent before registering another person's face in the application.

9. Permissions

SafeChild may request permissions including:

  • Camera

  • PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS

  • Device Administrator

  • Internet

  • Notifications (if applicable)

These permissions are requested only to provide parental control functionality.

Revoking these permissions may disable some features.

10. Device Administrator

Device Administrator permission is used to help prevent unauthorized removal of SafeChild by children.

This permission is not used to:

  • Access photos

  • Read messages

  • View contacts

  • Access personal files

11. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SafeChild only for lawful parental control purposes.

You agree NOT to:

  • Monitor adults without their knowledge or lawful authority.

  • Spy on another person.

  • Use the App for harassment or illegal surveillance.

  • Reverse engineer, modify, decompile, or hack the App.

  • Circumvent the App's security features.

  • Misuse Family Invitation Codes.

Violation of these Terms may result in suspension or termination of your account.

12. Third-Party Services

SafeChild uses trusted third-party services, including:

  • Google Firebase

  • Google Play Services

  • Google AdMob

These services operate according to their own Terms and Privacy Policies.

SafeChild is not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

13. Privacy

Your use of SafeChild is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how your information is collected, processed, stored, and protected.

14. Intellectual Property

All software, source code, designs, logos, graphics, trademarks, icons, text, and other content included in SafeChild are owned by SafeChild or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy

  • Modify

  • Redistribute

  • Sell

  • Reverse engineer

  • Reproduce

any part of the App without prior written permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

15. Updates

SafeChild may receive updates that improve:

  • Security

  • Stability

  • Performance

  • Compatibility

  • Features

Some updates may be required for the App to continue functioning correctly.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

SafeChild is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

While we strive to provide reliable parental control features, no security system can guarantee complete protection against every possible attempt to bypass restrictions.

We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted operation

  • Error-free performance

  • Compatibility with every Android device

  • Continuous availability of all features

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeChild and its developers shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect damages

  • Incidental damages

  • Consequential damages

  • Loss of data

  • Temporary device access issues

  • Service interruptions

Users are responsible for configuring backup authentication methods, such as a backup PIN, where available.

18. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to SafeChild if:

  • These Terms are violated.

  • The App is used for unlawful purposes.

  • Fraudulent or abusive activity is detected.

Termination may result in loss of access to certain cloud-based features.

19. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Updated versions will be published with a revised Effective Date.

Continued use of SafeChild after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
